Do I have to be enrolled in a business program?
Not at all! We hire students and non-students from all backgrounds. The most successful DECO Operators are goal-oriented, confident, and thrive in independent work environments.
Where is training held?
Training takes place in the city where you are applying. Our team provides both hands-on and online training.
I’m a people person—will I enjoy working alone?
Yes! The average repair takes just 15–20 minutes, so you’ll interact with many customers throughout the day. Plus, our DECO app and Slack keep you connected with your team in real time.
Do I need a car, or can I take public transit to work?
You must have access to a vehicle to transport your site setup, equipment, and repair tools each day.
Can I work with DECO outside of March–November (October–May in Arizona)?
In select cities, we offer commercial service work and mobile repairs for customers’ homes and workplaces during the offseason.
What if I can’t start work immediately?
That’s okay! While we prefer candidates available for the full season, we’re flexible for strong applicants who may need to start later or finish earlier.

Do you only hire students?
No! While many of our Site Operators are post-secondary students, we also hire high school graduates, work visa holders, and those saving for travel or other goals.
Is DECO a franchise in certain regions?
No, all DECO locations are corporately owned and managed from our head office in Calgary.
